Only a few short years after Santa Cruz Bicycles was born, their baby sister Juliana Bicycles came into the spotlight in 1999 with the help of Brazilian born World Cup Downhill Champion and US National Cross-Country Champion; Juliana Furtado. A true pioneer and advocate for women's mountain biking, Juliana Furtado worked directly with Santa Cruz to design a bike brand that was made for women and the natural shapes of their bodies. Juliana Bicycles feature components such as handlebars, that fit a woman's shoulders more comfortably but still give the rider stability & control in the cockpit.
